The State Library of NSW is a large reference & research library that is open to the public. It is the older library in Australia. It was established in 1826. The first library collections were part of the Australian Subscription Library which was started by a group of wealthy Sydney citizens in 1826. It was then punched by the NSW Government in 1869 for
£5100 and became the Sydney Free Public Library. In 1895, it was renamed the Public Library of NSW until it was changed again in 1975 to the State Library of NSW.
I absolutely love the outside and inside architecture of this building. It is quite impressive. If you want more history on the building and collections there, click here. There is also room in the library for art exhibits, and I have gone to a few different ones and it was stunning. There is also a little cafe and coffee shop which is not surprise since Aussies love their coffee! I didn't realize initially that it is just a reference & research library. So I had gotten a membership, but couldn't check out any fiction books haha. Then I had to find the local library in the neighborhood.

Hopefully one day I have a "library" in my house, maybe even with a rolling ladder to reach the high shelves :).
Hope every one is doing well. Miss you all!
