Sculpture by the Sea

Sculpture by the Sea is the world's largest free to the public sculpture exhibition.  It goes from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach and is a 2 km and features 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and across the world.  This is the 21st year of this exhibit.

Brooks and I made the venture to Bondi to check out this art exhibit, but first we had to get the most amazing gelato from this place called Anita's. So many options and so good!!

The water on that day we went to Bondi was so amazing.  I keep thinking that it has to be a trick on my eyes, but it isn't.  None of the water photos I take have filters on them.  It's absolutely unbelievable.  And to think, this is the same Pacific Ocean that we have on the West Coast, but it doesn't look remotely the same in California.

Bondi Iceberg's Club--another ocean bath :)

Seriously that color is amazing

The obligatory selfie to prove we were here.
So once we got over the amazing water and the fact that there were tons of people there, we made our way along the path. (I feel terrible I didn't get names of all the artwork and artists.  I'll give credit due when I have them.)

So this was quite impressive to see and unfortunately we didn't see the entire show.  The day we went, it was extremely warm and ended up heading home.  I was going to go out this weekend as it is the last weekend, but it is raining and the trains are down and I don't quite feel like 1.5 hours on the bus to go 5.5 miles. Just not quite worth it.

Hope you enjoyed this!

xoxo,  Ann

  1. You did very well to capture the horses in The Last Charge. That was a difficult photo to get. Mine tended to look like a bunch of rusted iron.
