Let's Talk Coffee

So coffee here in Australia is definitely different than the States.  And I like it so much better!  If you ask for a cup of coffee, they are going to give you a blank stare.  They take their coffee extremely serious.  There is a cafe on every corner it seems like. Apparently Starbucks tried to come here in 2000.  They opened 84 stores, and then closed 61 of them 8 years later.  They didn't deliver the high quality coffee that Australians were used to, even after creating a specific blend just for Australia.  I like these independent owned cafes and coffee shops.  

So these are your main options here. I literally had to look this up so I knew what to get.  

My personal favorite is a Flat White with one sugar.  The taste is different for sure.  I was unsure of it when I got it, but now it's great.  

It's been raining here cats and dogs yesterday and most of today. I signed up at a gym close by so have been working out every day which is nice.  I'm sore as all get out!  

Nothing too exciting going on here overall.  The Sydney Swans are playing tonight...they had a bye last week, so I'm excited to watch another game.
