He Made It

Aram made it safely to Australia on Saturday (Australia time).  He said the flight wasn't too bad, but ended up with some kankles.  He went and saw the University of Sydney yesterday.
Kind of reminds me of Harry Potter and Hogwarts.  This is the main campus and Aram will be at a Health Science Campus for classes.  But this is still pretty darn cool!

I just found out my last day of work will be April 21st.  So then I will be driving home and spending a week there and moving over to Australia the first week in May!

Just got moved out of our house that we were living at.  Luckily I have some great family down here that are letting me crash at their place until I move over there.  It isn't too bad considering we are on the lake and have a pool :)

Otherwise, Aram and I are trying to message each other and figure out the time zone difference, but so far, so good.

Departure Day

Today was a bittersweet day. Aram left for Australia. It was super hard to see him go, but I know he's going on to start his career and that's exciting. This past week has been lots of packing and hanging out with friends. Neither one of us realized how much work it has been to clean and pack. Hopefully tomorrow I'll find out when my last day of work is and then I'll be able to start planning my trip to Australia.

Prep Work

Currently working on packing up the house and figuring out what is going into storage, going to Nebraska to Ann's parents house, what is being tossed or donated and what is important enough for us to take to Australia.  Needless to say, the house is a disaster.  Neither one of us realized how much stuff we have!  Luckily, Aram has less that me, so he is taking an extra bag of mine to Australia when he leaves and then I'll have four suitcases that go with me.

We got to play a game of Tetris today with packing Ann's car with the "Nebraska Bound" items.  Here's a view of that.

Luckily, we have some good friends that are letting us store the "Nebraska pile" at their house until it is time to drive back there.  Actually took pictures, so I remember how to pack it up again.
